French painter and sculpture is considered to be one of the major representatives of impressionism. He was also known as the most active organization. Edgars favorite subjects were ballet dancers, woman at their toilette, cafe life and race tracks scenes. He made notes and sketches from living models in motion to reserve informality of actin and position. Most of his paintings have this special effect where it looks like it is blurry and everything kind of blends together. The Paints dont have harsh lines over thing looks like it is meshed together
The image on the left is another ballet painting. Edgar loved painting woman dancing ballet. This painting also does not have any rough lines they are mostly blended and that gives a blurred look to this painting, which in a way makes it unique because not many artist patin this way. The colors that are also used seem to be settled not too bright, which kind of makes the image look old and vintage.
El Greco
Greco's panting seem to be more on the religious side. He has painted for big Catholic Cathedrals, where his paintings still remain on the walls. After researching his work, i really liked is paintings, because they a re religious and i could relate to them. Also, because they have so much detail and each painting seems like it also has a lot of meaning behind them.
This painting was my favorite out of all the ones i saw. I like the detail i see in the painting the colors of Jesus, his facial expresion he has. It seems he is in pain and had sadness in his hear. The detail in his hands are just right and the background make the painting look like he is feeling pain/sad.
Greco has been one of my favorite artist also because these paintings remind me of my mother. She is very religious and she has images like these in our home.
